Now, you might be wondering...What is Ewing Sarcoma?

Updated: Nov 14, 2022

Ewing sarcoma is a cancerous tumor that grows in the bones or in the tissue around bones (soft tissue)—often the legs, pelvis, ribs, arms or spine. Ewing sarcoma can spread to the lungs, bones and bone marrow. Site: https://www.stjude.org/disease/ewing-sarcoma.html

What. A. Joy. (not really...to know me, is to know the sarcasm)

This cancer is aggressive. This cancer travels fast. Initially, we were told this cancer is rare. I'm here to tell you, once you become a part of "the group" it doesn't feel so rare. Which, for some, can lead you on your fight. A fight for these children.

Very understandably, you don't know what you don't know. And, I will say, I had no clue what this world of childhood cancer is really about. Being a "member" now for more than a year, I can tell you there are many different avenues of advocacy to stroll down. There's the awareness side, there's the political side, there's the get in there in the trenches and get your hands dirty kind, there's the research kind, and so on and so forth. The beauty of this is, all avenues have the ability to come together for change. As with most things in life. On this page, you will find access to resources we found helpful along this journey.

As a mother to someone with childhood cancer, I have been very blessed by those who were placed within our path. Each one of them providing me a different strength/weapon to help Brynn with. I could not be more grateful for the way I have been led through this journey.
