The Treatment Plan

Friday, July 12th, 2019 Brynn had surgery for further biopsies of the lymph node behind her right knee and the lymph node in her right groin. These came back positive for cancer cell growth. She was metastatic. They also performed a bone marrow biopsy along with placing her port. Very gratefully, the bone marrow came back negative for cancer cells. This is also the day her chemotherapy began.

Her protocol was Vincristine, Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin/Ifosfamide, Etoposide (VDC/IE) along with radiation. Chemotherapy began on July 12th, 2019 and ended on May 4th, 2020

The first round of radiation started in October 2019 and that last round completed in November 2019. This radiation was to the original tumor site of her right foot and to the lymph node behind her right knee. With her final radiation to be completed 6 weeks out of chemotherapy treatment. This round of radiation was less aggressive and done as whole lung with therapy going to her lymph node in her right groin as well. Began this round July 2020 and completed August 2020.

The image above is her heading into surgery for her port placement and other biopsies. What you can't see is fear. All you can see is that smile! Get it girl!
